Generic Name: CAPTOPRIL
Indications/Uses: Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, kidney problems caused by diabetes.
Administration: Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before meals.
Contraindications: History of angioedema associated w/ previous ACE inhibitor therapy
Special Precautions: Persistent nonproductive cough. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Children
Side Effects: Little or no urination, or urinating more than usual; shortness of breath (even with mild exertion), swelling, rapid weight gain.
