Generic Name: AZITHROMYCIN
Indications/Uses: Used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as respiratory infections, skin infections, ear infections, eye infections, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Administration: May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to azithromycin monohydrate, erythromycin, any macrolide or ketolide antibiotic.
Special Precautions: Hepatic and Renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Side Effects: Diarrhea; nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and headache.
